Still Silent Enough

Happy to say anything after long time passed. Still here. Still silent enough. Even in life in general. Safe enough. But after all, i consider to buy PSP (version2 with tv out connector... they've must be mad leaving it out beforehand) and whatever machine Silent Hill 5 will run on. Show support, it'll be considered nice. Thanks.

Just came at here

Gee, it's so long honey... Today I became wandering thru' my bookmarks and I came upon my own Silent Hill blog... Feels surreal. But then again who does not lose his thoughts for some time when all the things began to happen.

Gee once against, what am I babbling about? Instead I should give you some tip of a game you can play instead ours treasured Silent Hill innumerous repetitions. And I could also.

Scratches - good adventure game screenshot Try Scratches it's pure adventure with all the puzzles truly logical and story/scenes so scary that I wet my pants several times. It may be rather hard to get caught by this game since it consists of pixelhuntedly wandering thru same areas with no clues and no hope repeatedly, but it's worth it. All puzzles one hundred percent logical, some sick sense of adventure-games-mocking humor added and sneakingly scary music all the times.

Silent Hill Movie: first impressions

It's several days I finally saw Silent Hill Movie. My impressions are mixed. The strongest one was: It's common movie.

Yeah. Common. It definitely has some traces of our beloved games, but it's not based on them, they're just nice souvenirs collected by the way. I hoped that 'accidental viewer' will exclaim: I've never seen anything quite like this before... (No I've never...). I didn't talk with anyone about this (only other viewers with me in theater were one teenage girl and one senile woman... I didn't have the guts to ask any of them...), but I cannot imagine the movie could have such impact.

Second impression was: the cult community thing is wrong. It's not that it just have no model in any of games, but it's against them. The general loneliness and genuine specialness of every single game character should play their part.

But it's not bad movie. I will write more about it. For a start: I loved when Cybil fought her first enemy or when Rose and Christopher dis-shared their places.

Silent Hill Origins: Trailer

Preceding spot was about 'rock-solid-info' coming from Konami's site. It says 'winter 2007'. But today I saw trailer which confirms speculation that it is just typo. Trailer mentions 'this winter'. Must be everything so foggy around this what-should-I-call-it Silent Hill installment?

Silent Hill Original Sin

I still didn't see the Movie. So I will write about something other that could thrill us: so called Silent Hill 1 re-release or remake... or as it looks now: Silent Hill Original Sin. (Movie Director Christophe Gans said, there will be leading female character instead of Harry... remember?)

I was referring to this SH title some time ago. I considered it rumor, but it gets new (still unfocused) shape. Several gaming sites mentioned that Konami accidentally (they say) published release date for PSP title called Silent Hill Original Sin. It's 18th October.

I still consider Sony's PSP completely dumb design concept created with vast arrogant customers disregard. Or something for Japan only. Come on... Proprietary UMD? Who the hell needs it? Movies and no TV out? They must be kidding. And prices? In where I live it's too much for movies, games and the gadget as well.

But Silent Hill on it? D'oh I'm tempted!

Silent Hill Movie Props

...and don't let me forget to suggest some Silent Hill related presents I would like get.

Silent Hill Collection Disappointing

Silent Hill Collection is complete failure. Absolutely no added value and Silent Hill 2 is original version with no Maria's Born from a wish scenario. There's even no bonus DVD which was shipped with original and contained Making of. Two and only new things are box and Silent Hill Experience propaganda leaflet.

That's basically all that guy with nick I won't speak up posted on his PAL version purchase at Silent Hill Forum.

Silent Hill Movie: reviews

Today's the day. With the movie premiere being first thing to be on my mind all day I'm not the lucky one who will actually see the (hopefully) masterpiece today... or tomorrow... or even for several more days neither. It's not happy thought to confess, I'm really sad about it. But don't worry be happy, I will host some small Silent Hill themed celebration today. I'll play some small excerpt from all the games, even if I know it's silly for man like me to show so much feelings about such trivial event.

And at the passing time I and maybe you too will not see a frame... I'll watch how various reviewers see our movie.

I can take up some quotes for you:

  • A genuinely creepy and deeply disturbing experience...
  • Slow, dull and completely predictable...
  • It wants to get under your skin and unnerve you...

SH Movie: Making of

Another way to get yourself thoroughly spoilered is to see Making of the movie or attend MTV Overdrive and found out Silent Hill coverage in Movies section (can't link directly).

MTV Overdrive I woudn't look myself if I didn't know that I won't be able to view movie for some time after the premiere. So with my viewer's experience garanted bastardized with discussions and reviews I don't care to avoid knowing/seeing too much.

Silent Hill Movie: Making of - Christophe Gans And these featurettes are loaded with new scenes and creators'/actors' commentaries, even with ones describing world's and plot's aspects. I usually don't care of how people involved in filming are trying influenced viewers, but this time I find it good news that their message is It is different movie!. I hope so.

SH Movie: short clip

66 seconds long Silent Hill Movie clip can be seen on AOL Movie site. There's also YouTube version and downloadable version suitable for those having trouble to use site of origin.

Silent Hill Movie: bathroom's changing It's the bathroom changing scene heavily presented in trailer and advert TV spots, but proper connection of shots is unraveled. So some could consider it as spoiler. Original game music (remixed but clearly recognizable) is playing for several closing seconds.

SH Movie: TV spot 2

Silent Hill Movie: TV Spot 2: Streets New Silent Hill Movie TV spot has been find on net by myself today... hurray! It's full featured trailerish spot with captions (Mystery and Nightmare) and cold hype-voice (...they were last seen in the town of Silent Hill. For the investigators their case is a mystery....

Silent Hill Movie: TV Spot 2: Rose dodging Big Knife But aside that show-biz infotrash curls, there're previously unseen scene flashes: Rose dodging Big Knife, hands opening hatch covered with bugs, Sharon in classroom... Enjoy.

SH Konami Website

New Silent Hill Website Some time ago Konami opened new official Silent Hill website. There wasn't much to find, althought fans discussed potential hidden content. I didn't find any. Today there's regular Silent Hill games site, including material about four games and Experience PSP title.

Silent Hill Experience In Stock

Silent Hill Experience In stock Starting today konamistyle online store declares Silent Hill Experience, an interactive UMD for PSP handheld, In stock.

Silent Hill Experience coverPrice is $19.99. Features:

  • 2 hours of digital comics based on the Silent Hill comic series presented with music, includes Dying Inside and new The Hunger
  • 20 Akira Yamaoka's music tracks selected from series
  • video interview with the director of the Silent Hill Movie Christophe Gans and Akira Yamaoka
  • rare video content from previous Silent Hill games

I still consider the idea of interactive UMD completely mistaken, but I'm rather curious about content of this one. Hope someone will let us know details soon.

SH Movie: International Trailer

Silent Hill Movie: Alessa Hit (Original trailer)Silent Hill Movie: Alessa Hit (International trailer)

Today I found new Silent Hill trailer. It's label "International trailer". It's mostly the same as original trailer, but aside from annoying intermezzo captions as Silent Hill or Population unknown, there're some little differences... as Alessa Hit you see above.

Regarding captions, there's one which is also used on UK quad poster: We've been expected you. You can find both international trailer and UK quad poster on Bloody-disqusting.com.

Silent Hill on PSP and Collected

1UP on Silent Hill for PSP I noticed some rumors leading mostly to 1UP, that there'll be Silent Hill on Sony's Playstation Portable (PSP). If so it can be previously mentioned Silent Hill 1 Rerelease.

I also have something to update my later Silent Hill Collection info. Several sites states 13th April as release date (in contrary to 28th I sought on several on-line shops). Some messages on the Collection also declare Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams to be in. I don't have much relevant to support these.
